Manchester United have made Anthony Martial well aware that he will be leaving the club for free this summer.
The Frenchman is out of contract in June and while United have the option of triggering a one-year extension, they have decided against extending his nine-year stay at Old Trafford.
TalkSPORT claims that Martial has been informed of their stance and is conscious that he is nearing the end of his Red Devils tenure.
Martial dealt another injury blow
This afternoon, it was confirmed that he had undergone surgery for a groin problem and would be sidelined for around 10 weeks, which is unfortunately a somewhat fitting end to his injury-plagued career.
Martial, 28, could return to action around April to see out the remainder of the campaign. United are currently in the fourth round of the FA Cup and 11 points away from the Premier League top-four, so Erik ten Hag will be relying on Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford to get the job done for the coming weeks.
