Calcio resumed its rights this Saturday. After the draws between Inter and Genoa (2-2), as well as between Fiorentina and Parma (1-1), two other matches took place this evening, including the big return to school for AC Milan, now coached by Paulo Fonseca, former tactician of LOSC. Indeed, the Rossoneri welcomed Torino to San Siro, who also changed coach since Paolo Vanoli took over from Ivan Juric. During a balanced first half, the Granata opened the scoring on an own goal from Malick Thiaw (31st). In the second half, on a magnificent collective combination, Duvan Zapata doubled the lead for the Turinese (67th). The first goal by Alvaro Morata (89th) in the red and black colors gave the Milanese motivation and Noah Okafor (90th + 5) saved his team to secure a draw (2-2).
In the other match played simultaneously, AC Monza, who also experienced a change on their bench with the arrival of Alessandro Nesta, travelled to Tuscany to face Empoli, on the pitch of the Carlo-Castellani stadium. After an hour of play, the score was still goalless between the two teams despite a slight superiority of Roberto D’Aversa’s players in the game. The second half was not the most exciting. Neither team managed to get the upper hand on the opponent. Logically, the match ended with a bland goalless score (0-0).
