Continuation of the 30th day of Serie A this Saturday evening. Fiorentina hosted AC Milan, in Florence, on the lawn of the Artemio-Franchi stadium. A very special meeting for Vincenzo Italiano's players since the Viola put on their crampons again for the first time since the sudden and tragic death of Joe Barone, general director of Fiorentina, at the age of 57. While the Rossoneri slightly dominated the proceedings in a solid, balanced first period, the English international, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, opened the scoring (47th) for the visitors but it was without counting on Alfred Duncan who equalized for the locals (40th).
The match continued to feature a great duel and Rafael Leao ended up offering victory to his team (553rd) a few minutes later. In the standings, Fiorentina still remains in a mixed position in the Italian championship with this 10th place, while AC Milan takes important points to consolidate its 2nd position, giving itself a little breathing room ahead of Juventus. Next weekend, the Viola will travel to Piedmont to face Juventus, while the Rossoneri will host Lecce, during the 31st Italian matchday.
