Continuation and end of the 14th day of Serie A this Monday evening with a very enticing duel between two behemoths of the championship. Gian Piero Gasperini’s explosive Atalanta traveled to the capital to face AS Roma, now coached by the legendary Claudio Ranieri, on the pitch at the Stadio Olimpico di Roma. On one side or the other, the objective of this large poster was quite simple: to take precedence over a rival to consolidate its position. La Dea wanted to score valuable points to secure their place on the podium, while the Giallorossi needed to take points to move up the standings.

In a match relatively dominated by the visitors, Marten de Roon managed to logically open the scoring thanks to a late goal in the second half (69th), before Nicolò Zaniolo scored (89th), allowing the Dea to achieve another success (0-2). In the standings, Atalanta remains in a good position in 2nd position, while Roma is far behind, on the outskirts of the red zone in 15th place. Next weekend, the Bergamasques will take on AC Milan away for another shock. The Giallorossi will host Lecce on the 15th day of the Italian championship.
