Following on from Frosinone’s victory against Cagliari in front of its home crowd (3-1), the 21st day of Serie A continues this Sunday with a duel in the second half of the table between Empoli and Monza. In search of success for many weeks, the Azzurri returned to three points at the Carlo Castellani stadium by largely dominating the Lombards (3-0).

Led by Szymon Zurkowski, author of a hat-trick (13th, 38th, 73rd), the locals were able to take cover in the first 45 minutes before controlling their subject in the second half to offer a first victory to Davide Nicola, newly inducted onto the bench this week following the dismissal of Aurelio Andreazzoli. Despite this favorable result, Empoli remains stuck in 19th place, but comes back to two points from the first non-relegation place, Cagliari. A week after being corrected by Inter Milan, Monza concedes a second consecutive defeat and temporarily remains in 11th place.
