At the end of the 36th day of Serie A this Monday, Fiorentina hosted Monza. La Viola had the opportunity to take eighth place from Napoli in the event of a victory against the Lombards. The latter, who have nothing more to play for this season, opened the scoring in the 9th minute thanks to their serial scorer Milan Djuric (0-1).

A short-lived lead as the locals were able to equalize after half an hour thanks to Nicolas Gonzalez (1-1, 32nd). After returning from the locker room, Fiorentina raised the tone by being more incisive in the offensive phase. A self-sacrifice which paid off with the winning goal signed Arthur Melo (2-1, 78th). With this fifteenth success in Ligue 1, Fiorentina climbs to 8th place. Monza remains twelfth.
