Hard blow for Salernitana. Opposed to Frosinone for the 34th day of Serie A, the Garnets simply had no other choice but to win to avoid going down to the lower level. But the game started very badly as Soulé opened the scoring from the penalty spot, before Brescianini made the break for the locals (2-0, 10th and 25th).

At the end of the game, Zortea put an end to the last hopes of seeing Saler remain in the Elite (3-0, 85th). After being promoted in 2021, the Bersagliera club is therefore relegated to Serie B. Salernitana will only have four more games to play to digest this descent, the club being almost guaranteed to finish bottom of the ranking. For its part, Frosinone took the opportunity to move away from the red zone and kept three points ahead of Udinese, the roadblock.
