Napoli are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho whom they identified as the ideal replacement for Khvicha Kvarataskhelia.

The Georgian winger has been one of Napoli’s biggest stars since joining the club in the summer of 2022. He immediately delivered the goods by guiding the club towards their first Scudetto title in 33 years in his first campaign at the Stadio Maradona and was named the MVP of the Serie A campaign.

However, the 23-year-old’s time in Italy has seemingly reached its end credits, as the player has asked to be sold after receiving a lucrative offer from Paris Saint-Germain. Kvaratskhelia’s move to the French capital is now considered imminent.

Therefore, Napoli will be desperate to find themselves an immediate replacement, and have reportedly identified Garnacho as the ideal like-to-like heir for the departing Georgian.

According to Fichajes.net, the Serie A giants have offered €50 million to prise the Argentina international away from Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old Madrid native was a key figure in Erik ten Hag’s plans over the past two years, but has lost his starting spot in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1, so he’s now considered a backup for Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes who usually play behind the striker.

Moreover, there have been some reports claiming that the youngster and his entourage aren’t happy with their contract negotiations with Man Utd officials. Garnacho currently collects £50,000 a week, so he remains one of the lowest earners at the club.

Therefore, it remains to be seen if the Red Devils would consider offloading the young winger in the middle of the campaign. Aside from Napoli, some sources linked the player with a return to Atletico Madrid where he had started his career before making the move to Carrington in 2020.
