Continuation and end of the 18th day of Serie A this Monday evening. Hellas Verona traveled to Emilia-Romagna to face Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna on the pitch at the Renato-Dall’Ara Stadium. On the side of the Rossoblù, the objective of this duel was to stock up on points to put pressure on the direct competitors for the race for Europe and thus consolidate its good position at the dawn of the year 2025. The Gialloblu wanted to score valuable points to get their heads above water and move away from the red zone. In a completely crazy match, it was the locals who quickly proved dangerous with the opening score of Benjamín Domínguez (20th). But the Veronese reacted with the equalizer from the former Lyonnais, Amine Sarr (38th). Then Casper Tengstedt (45th+2) allowed the visitors to lead at the break.

In the second half, Domínguez scored twice to equalize (58th). Unfortunately, the expulsion of Tommaso Pobega for a violent gesture (51st) put the locals in a very unfortunate position for the rest of the match. And as the final gong approached, Santi Castro was at fault for a CSC (88th) which allowed Hellas Verona to achieve a sensational victory (2-3). In the standings, Bologna still remains in a good position despite the defeat with this fine 7th place, while Hellas Verona takes three important points to move up to 16th position. Next weekend, the Rossoblù will welcome AS Roma at home, while the Gialloblu will open the doors of their stadium to Udinese, during the 19th day of the Italian championship.
