Continuation of the 12th day of Serie A this Sunday evening with a very enticing duel between two behemoths of the championship. Antonio Conte’s Napoli traveled to Lombardy to face Simnone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan, on the lawn of the Giuseppe-Meazza stadium. On the one hand, the Nerazzurri wanted to stock up on points against a direct competitor for the title. On the other hand, the Partenopei had to send a clear message to the other clubs at the top to retain their provisional throne before the break. During a balanced game, it was Conte’s men who opened the scoring thanks to Scott McTominay (23rd).
Before the break, Inter managed to equalize thanks to Hakan Çalhanoğlu (43rd) but the Turkish midfielder missed his penalty (74th) in the second and the score remained tied (1-1). In the ranking, Inter fell to 4th position, while Naples consolidated its first place. After the international break, the Nerazzurri will face Hellas Verona away. The Partenopei will host AS Roma, who have just sacked Ivan Juric, on the 13th day of the Italian championship.
