For its first match since the departure of Maurizio Sarri, Lazio of Rome regained a certain offensive efficiency against Frosinone (2-3). Interim coach Giovanni Martusciello had decided to keep the same XI as his predecessor. However, it was the locals who took the lead in the match. Former Marseille player Pol Lirola led the way with a header (13th), before the Romans picked up the pace. Mattia Zaccagni equalized on a pass from Matteo Guendouzi (38th), his first goal in the league this year.

Ciro Immobile, attacked yesterday in Rome, quickly left, still silent after seven goalless matches. Replaced by Taty Castellanos, the striker, also lacking confidence in recent months, did not take much time to stand out. A few seconds after his entry, the Argentinian scored Lazio’s second goal (57th) before scoring a double (62nd). Frosinone managed to reduce the gap thanks to Walid Cheddira and a magnificent acrobatic return (70th). With this victory, the first in three matches, Lazio places itself in the first part of the table. Frosinone misses the opportunity to get out of the relegation zone.
