Ahead of his two big matches at WrestleMania 40 this weekend, Seth Rollins has given the WWE Universe an update on the status of his knee injuries.

Speaking to ESPN ahead of the big weekend, Rollins said that his knee is feeling “pretty good,” and that he purposely tried to test himself out at house shows in the lead up to WrestleMania.

“You know, it’s feeling pretty good,” Rollins said. “I made a point to get out into some non-televised events to test it out. I wanted to know going into WrestleMania what I was dealing with. I felt confident going through those matches, they were tag team matches with Cody Rhodes, so it was a little bit of a lighter work load, but I wanted to know how the knee was going to do. I wanted to know what the MCL was going to feel like, the meniscus, and there were some hiccups along the way, as there are, any athlete will tell you the road to recovery is never a straight line.”

Rollins went on to say that he feels in a good place, but said he doesn’t know what will happen after WrestleMania in terms of his recovery, leaving the door open for a potential break in action.

“But I’m in a really good place coming into this weekend, I feel extremely confident that I’m going to put on the performance that people expect me to put on tonight and tomorrow. And we’ll go from there, what the next steps are after WrestleMania, I don’t know, but this is the big one. We got to get through it, there’s no way I wasn’t going to be there,” said Rollins.

Rollins will be pulling double duty this weekend, appearing in a tag team match with Cody Rhodes against The Rock and Roman Reigns tonight, and then defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre on Sunday night.
