Seth Rollins showcased his strong work ethic on RAW last month by defending his title against Jinder Mahal. He suffered an injury because of the match and now it appears he is targeting the next few weeks for an in-ring return.
As previously reported, there were indications that Seth Rollins might have suffered an injury to his left leg during the match. Seth Rollins would then confirm he had torn meniscus during RAW back in January.
While speaking on Good Morning Football, Seth Rollins expressed his determination to return to the ring in time for WrestleMania 40 despite suffering an MCL tear and meniscus damage three weeks prior. He assured fans about his recovery progress as well.
Though facing discomfort from the MCL sprain, he emphasized successful rehabilitation and avoiding surgery for the partial tear. Rollins remains optimistic about his recovery, mentioning that rehab is progressing well, and he recently felt a positive turning point in his knee.
“Oh, WrestleMania 40, no problem. We got this bad boy. We got this. I’ll be back way before then, for sure. I tore my MCL, tore my meniscus about three weeks ago now, and it sucks. If you’ve ever had an MCL sprain or any sort of damage to that part of your knee, it’s not comfortable. But doing all the right things, rehabbing.”
”Fortunately, it was just a partial tear and not a full tear. We’re able to avoid surgery for the time being. We’ll see what happens after WrestleMania. We’ll see how long I can ride on these wheels, but rehab’s going great. I feel great, I feel like I recently just kind of turned a corner, as a matter of fact, on this knee. So I’m feeling really good. Definitely will be ready before WrestleMania, and I’m hoping sometime in the next few weeks.”
Seth Rollins has also been relentlessly pursuing Cody Rhodes as his WrestleMania 40 opponent. We have also reported what’s the plan for Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania 40 opponent, so we will have to wait and see what will become of Rhodes in the end.
