Shaboozey is No. 1! The 29-year-old singer-songwriter’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” vaulted to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, marking his first No. 1 to date, via Billboard. The track also rebounds for a fourth week to No. 1 atop the Hot Country Songs chart. Previously, no song by a Black man, or one known to be biracial, had previously topped both charts. He is now the second Black artist overall to achieve the feat, following Beyoncé with “Texas Hold ‘Em” earlier in 2024. He also appeared on the Hot 100 on Cowboy Carter with “Spaghettii” and “Sweet * Honey * Buckiin.’” “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is from Shaboozey’s Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, which debuted at No. 5 high on the Billboard 200 in June.
