Shailene Woodley is opening up about her sex life. The 32-year-old Three Women star spoke about her romantic life during an episode of the SheMD podcast. During the appearance, she talked about being “a very sexual person” during a larger conversation about women’s health and societal expectations around sex with co-hosts Dr. Thais Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney. I was very lucky in my life as a young person, discovering myself and my body, to have a partner at the time who loved to dance,” she said. “I always call it a dance — it’s a dance, we’re exchanging energy. Sometimes the dance is like a really fast tango, and sometimes the dance is a really slow groove, and sometimes it’s loud and sometimes really soft.” She recalled that she “had somebody that helped me discover myself because there was a sense of comfortability together” during a relationship growing up, though she didn’t name the partner. “I think that I probably did the same for him,” she added. She also likened porn to “junk food.” “This is what we’re being sold when all of these other things are possible with my body because I’m like a magic machine?” she said. “Pleasure is so important and we just rip each other off of it because I think we don’t necessarily even know what’s possible, and that’s my big beef with porn. You’re selling everybody McDonald’s when you could have, like, woah — much better quality!”
