Shatrughan Sinha says ‘KHAMOSH’ to rumours of Sinha family not attending Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding

Lovebirds Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal who have been dating each other for quite a few years now, are all set to get married on 23rd June. Amid the happy news, rumours of a rift in Sinha family due to inter-faith marriage are doing rounds. Various reports suggested that Sonakshi’s family, especially her father, weren’t going to attend her wedding. However, Shatrughan Sinha has now reacted to the rumours and confirmed he is very much a part of daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding.

Shatrughan Sinha confirms attending Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding

In his latest interview with Zoom, he said he is proud of his daughter and will be there to bless her at the wedding. He expresses, “Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter, Sonakshi, whom I am very proud of and immensely fond of. She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I?” Her happiness is my happiness and vice versa. She has every right to choose her partner and the other details of her wedding.”

He also called himself her pillar of strength and stated how despite being busy this is a joyous occasion for him. “I am extremely tied up with my political work in Delhi. The very fact that I have still been in Mumbai conveys that I am here not only as her pillar of strength but as her real kavach (armour) as well. Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live life together. They look very nice together”, he added.

Sinha said those spreading rumours about any tension in the family should ‘mind their own business’. He continued, “Those who are coming out with fake news are just sounding very frustrated with this joyous occasion as they are spreading nothing but lies. I’d like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it’s none of your business.”

About Sonakshi-Zaheer’s wedding

If reports are to be believed, the couple will have a court marriage post which they will host a party at Bastian- At The Top in Lower Parel. The party will have white and ivory colour combination theme. Apart from Sinha and Ratansi family, the Heeramandi cast and their close friends including Huma Qureshi, Varun Sharma among others are expected to attend. A few days back, the actor’s were also seen enjoying bachelor party with their friends.
