Shawn Mendes just released his brand new, self-titled album Shawn! The 26-year-old musician stripped down the music to share stories of the past few years of his live on his fifth album. “This album feels like medicine to me,” he shared in a statement. “It helped me reconnect with myself—allowing me to work through emotions, find clarity, and feel stronger. Each song captures a moment from that journey, and I hope it brings a sense of peace and joy to everyone who listens.” Keep reading to find out more… Shawn wrote and co-produced the new LP alongside his collaborators Scott Harris, Mike Sabath, Nate Mercereau and Eddie Benjamin. Amy Allen and Ethan Gruska also contributed writing credits. Shawn features previously released tracks “Heart of Gold,” “Why Why Why,” “Nobody Knows” and “Isn’t That Enough.” Included on the album is the song “The Mountain,” where he opens up about his sexuality.
