Shawn Michaels teases that more additions are coming to WWE NXT.
In recent weeks, both Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer have made their debuts on NXT programming. Giulia arrived at NXT No Mercy, and she will challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship on the October 1 episode of NXT. Meanwhile, Vaquer appeared via satellite on the September 24 episode.
Speaking with Rick Ucchino of The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels discussed the additions of Giulia and Vaquer to NXT’s roster. He also said that some big surprises are coming.
“The best stacked women’s roster in all of the world, if you ask me,” Shawn Michaels said. “Roxanne Perez, Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, and then of course, two of the hottest free agents in all the world with Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. And there are other big, big surprises coming down the pike. If you thought we were stacked before, you haven’t seen anything yet. And that goes on both sides of the roster.”
Shawn Michaels On NXT’s Momentum
Michaels then commented on NXT’s momentum. He stated that the future looked even better as the brand was set for its CW Network premiere on October 1.
“NXT has had a great deal of momentum in the last year. Very proud to say that we’re 15 percent up in those advertising demo viewers that everybody likes to throw around these days,” he said. “We’re still doing fantastic and the futures look even better as we launch on October 1st on the CW Network.”
