Sheamus shared a little more insight about how long his on-air return was in the works.
The RAW After Mania on April 8 featured WWE airing a vignette hyping Sheamus’ return. It felt as if this tease would air for a few more weeks, but the Celtic Warrior made his triumphant return on RAW just one week later.
Some fans commented on Sheamus’ physique, bodyshaming him for looking a bit heavier than he did in the past. Sheamus took the remarks in stride, sharing just how difficult his road back to the ring has been.
Now, he’s giving his haters one last chance to take a dig at him before moving on. In his latest response, Sheamus also shared that his WWE return was moved up by a few weeks.
Sheamus said he was originally planning to return during the WWE Draft, which is scheduled to take place on April 26 and 29. However, he said his “call-up” was earlier than expected, but he’s still living in the gym to get back to peak condition.
“Ok Ok take your best shots.. Whalemus, Too Many Pies, etc.. and then we’re done with the photoshopping & shaming,” Sheamus wrote on Twitter. “I was aiming for the Draft & got an early call-up. My bad. On me. Been sleeping in the gym ever since SO watch this space ?? i appreciate the love too #Sheamoose ”
