Sheffield United star Anel Ahmedhodzic has accused footage of his collision with West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen of being 'edited'.

The 24-year-old insists it was made to look like the Hammers should have been awarded a spot-kick during the 2-2 draw on Sunday.

A coming-together involving the pair raised eyebrows with questions over a potential West Ham penalty.

Ahmedhodzic allegedly brought Bowen down inside the area after losing awareness of the ball following a cross.

Referee Michael Salisbury opted to let the game continue, with the incident being checked by VAR.

It was deemed that it was mutual holding and therefore a penalty was not given.

The Sheffield United midfielder then hit out at videos after the game.

He said on X: "Clearly biased. You can see at the unedited footage where he pulls me down with him which makes me lose sight of the ball. Obviously it’s been edited to make it look like a pen to West Ham."

Ahmedhodzic later uploaded a post showing the incident, with the image being accompanied by WWE commentary.

Speaking of the incident, both TNT Sport pundits, Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole, believed it should have been a penalty for West Ham.

"Absolutely a penalty," Cole said.

"Last minute of game have to keep your composure, he realises and the panic kicks in, he puts his arms all over Bowen. Can't see how they didn't look at that. That's a rugby tackle."

"I don't know how they haven't looked at that & gone 'that's a stonewall penalty' for me" 👀 @rioferdy5 & Joe Cole believe Jarrod Bowen was denied an "absolute" penalty as he was brought down in box during the final moments of the game...

Ferdinand added: “[Robinson] is not looking at the ball — he’s not even looking at Bowen. He’s got his hands on him. His back is to play, and we can see his number with the ball coming from the opposite side.

"I don’t know how they haven’t looked at that and gone, ‘that’s a stonewall penalty’. If they called that [a penalty], this place would have erupted.”
