Shelton Benjamin scored the win in his AEW in-ring debut on the October 16 episode of AEW Dynamite.
WWE previously released Benjamin in September 2023. He made his AEW debut on the October 2 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he reunited with MVP. MVP has been targeting Swerve Strickland, who rejected MVP’s services at AEW WrestleDream.
On the October 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, Shelton Benjamin made his AEW in-ring debut. He faced Lio Rush and showcased his impressive athleticism throughout the bout. In the end, Benjamin scored the win with a T-Bone Suplex.
MVP left his business card on top of Rush and gave him credit for a good try. He then told Swerve Strickland to reconsider his position, as he said they should finish their conversation. MVP closed his message by hinting at a match between Strickland and Benjamin.
Strickland was later asked for a response, and he accepted the challenge to a match against Benjamin.
