Shiba Inu’s upcoming DAO will give Leash token holders an important role in maintaining order, protecting the ecosystem, and governing the community’s sustainability initiatives.

The Shiba Inu team is preparing to launch its decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). As the set date approaches, the team’s anonymous leader Shytoshi Kusama explains the role of the Leash token holder in the upcoming DAO.

Shytoshi wrote on his X handle the impact that the Leash holders will be taking. He revealed that they will be responsible for maintaining order in the system and protecting the ecosystem.

Moreso, they will be allowed to vote on disputes in the Leash DAO. The anonymous developer further reminded the Shiba community about other proprietary protocols of the Shib ecosystem, which he says protect the Shibizens.

The news has generated some excitement among many Shiba Inu users. A crypto commentator, ALTSTEIN TRADE, with over 64 thousand followers, said under Shytoshy’s post that Leash holders are like the guidance of the Shib ecosystem, and the upcoming DAO is more about responsibility. ALTSTEIN further stated that the vision of Shib in their paper is starting to come to fruition.

According to the Shib’s ‘Worldpaper,’ to ensure that all members have an equal voice in the upcoming DAO, the governance will be divided into four, one for each of the major tokens of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. That way, each token will be saddled with the role of governing a part of the system. They said:

“Shib governs the community itself.

Bone governs and powers the technologies of the community. (i.e. GAS FEE FOR SHIBARIUM)

Leash governs the protection of the community and offers exclusivity as well.

Treat governs and empowers community projects.”

Leash Token: The Cornerstone of Shiba Inu’s Ethical Governance and Environmental Responsibility

Prior to Shytoshi’s post, the marketing lead of the Shib team, Lucie, revealed in her tweet that the DAO would launch soon. She mentioned that the upcoming DAO will help solidify the project’s vision of decentralization, noting that all it takes to be a partaker of its mission is to hold any of the tokens within its ecosystem.

All holders of Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens will be allowed to participate in decision-making through voting. For instance, SHIB holders can vote on direct donations and the preservation of its community values. BONE tokens will enable holders to vote on new innovations and the development of the Shib ecosystem.

More so, Leash will allow holders to vote on sustainability initiatives and ensure fair treatment and transparency within the community.

Lucie explained the importance of the Leash token, describing it as “a cornerstone of Shib’s approach to ethical governance and environmental responsibility”. With a total supply capped at 107,000 tokens, Leash is poised to give holders access to unique opportunities while helping to secure and govern a fair, secure, and ethically governed community.

“Leash is a cornerstone of Shib’s approach to ethical governance and environmental responsibility. Its exclusive status within the Shib ecosystem provides holders with access to unique opportunities while supporting a fair, secure, and ethically governed community,” she said.
