Shōgun creators and Emmy winners Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo and visual effects veteran Robert Legato are among the notable speakers slated to appear at next month’s Infinity Festival.

The seventh annual edition of the fest is set for November 6 to 9 at the Aster and the next door Avalon Theater in Hollywood. Panels, demos and exhibits will span film, technology, gaming and other areas. Deadline is a presenting media sponsor of Infinity Festival.

Marks and Kondo, recently Emmy-minted for their FX series, will be part of the Entertainment, Technology and Los Angeles Thought Leaders track. Also in that part of the speaker lineup is Legato, known for his work on Titanic as well as the 2019 live-action remake of The Lion King. Other speakers and companies represented include the Russo Bros.’ AGBO; Z by HP; Nvidia, Intel, Sony Pictures Imageworks, AWS and ETC at USC. David Simon of Echelon Creative Environments and Brian Folb of Hollywood Offices and Paramount Contractors Developers are also on the docket.

The Gaming and Immersive track will feature Justin Scarpone, Global Head of Transmedia for Sega; and Vicki Dobbs Beck, VP, Immersive Content Innovation, Lucasfilm & ILM Immersive.

An Artificial Intelligence portion will see industry leaders discussing innovations in the sector.

“Infinity Festival has always been about bringing together the best minds from both Hollywood and Silicon Valley, and this year’s lineup of speakers truly embodies that mission,” fest programmers Lori H. Schwartz, Natalie Novak, Erik Weaver, Anna Sinatra and Scott Shaw said in a joint statement. “We are honored to welcome such an extraordinary group of innovators and thought leaders to the stage. Their insights and expertise will undoubtedly inspire and impart invaluable knowledge to our attendees, as we continue to explore the future of technology-driven content creation.”

The festival aims to bridge the gap between Silicon Valley and Hollywood, positioning Los Angeles at the forefront for speakers across both industries. It will unfold in and among L.A. landmarks like Griffith Observatory, the Capitol Records building and Hollywood’s The Aster, The Avalon and Amoeba Music.

Production Resource Group, which has extensive event experience, is contributing production services to this year’s festival. PRG VP Jeroen Hallaert said the company’s technology and expertise “are perfectly aligned to support this exciting lineup, ensuring an unforgettable experience for both speakers and attendees as we explore the future of entertainment and technology.”
