Shogun is returning for a second, and a third, season! The hit FX series had a massive debut, notching FX’s biggest streaming debut since The Bear, and it has continued it’s success since it debuted in February 2024. Most recently, the show earned a whopping 25 nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards, and it won 18 of those, including a history-making win for Anna Sawai. Based on James Clavell‘s novel, the series set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.
