IMG Credit: WWEI’d call that big. We are coming up on the end of the year and that means the start of the build towards next year’s WrestleMania. WWE has already started taking some steps towards the show, including making plans for some of the biggest matches. Now it seems that they are at least discussing one match which has not been on the cards before but could be quite special.

According to Fightful Select, the current plan for WrestleMania 41 is CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns. The match has been discussed in recent weeks and previous plans recently changed in this direction. This comes after a “drastically different” plan was on the books just a few weeks ago, which reportedly did NOT involve the Rock. There is still the chance that things could change though, including if the Rock is available for the show. There is no word on how the match could be put together.

Opinion: This is something that could make for a special match as Punk and Reigns are some of the biggest stars in the company. It would certainly be a fresh match and I’m curious to see how WWE could get there. Throw in the favor that Paul Heyman owes CM Punk and we could be in for a heck of a Road To WrestleMania. This match interests me and that is a good sign about four months away from the biggest show of next year.
