Shubhangi Atre On Happiness
She said, “Happiness is very subjective. First of all, don’t depend on anyone for your happiness. You have to find your own happiness, and it comes from within. If you are not at peace, it’s hard to feel happy.”
“For me, I don’t know exactly what happiness is, but I think when your mind is at peace, you can find happiness everywhere. Happiness comes from within. Life can be disturbed and complex sometimes, but being yourself and finding peace inside you is what happiness means to me,” she added.
She further shared that being happy is also an art. She said, “I think everyone wants a happy life. But life has its highs and lows, and there can be negative circumstances. I believe happiness is an art.”
“Some people are always in a mess, struggling with their thoughts and emotions. So, I think happiness is not about seeking validation from others but about finding contentment within yourself,” she added.
Being around nature makes Shubhangi the happiest. She said, “Right now, I am at a beautiful place near Devprayag. Being close to nature, in the forests or the mountains, brings me so much joy. In those moments, I don’t need anything else; just the peace and beauty of nature are enough for me.”
But when it comes to a project, she can’t pick one and says, “I really love all the work I’ve done because I enjoy being in front of the camera. Every project has been special for me. I learnt a lot while working on Kasturi, and Do Hanson Ka Joda was a completely different experience.”
“But if I talk about the time I was the happiest, it would be when I worked with Anurag Basu on Tagore Stories. I played the role of a Muslim girl in that project, and working with Anurag Basu was the most wonderful experience,” she added.
Three tips for happiness that you practise? “First of all, I think nature is the most beautiful and happiest place. I love my solitude and enjoy spending time alone, just feeling the energy and vibes around me. That’s what makes me happy. My first piece of advice would be to surround yourself with nature. In this materialistic world, nature feels far from all the fake things; it’s pure and real. Secondly, never depend on anyone else for your happiness. Find your own happiness within yourself,” she said.
“And thirdly, music. I absolutely love music, and it brings me so much joy. Thank you so much! I wish all my viewers, audience, and everyone a very happy life and a wonderful year. Just be happy and stay grateful. I believe gratitude is really important; when you have a thankful attitude, happiness follows,” Shubhangi ended.
