Shweta Tiwari is a much-loved actress ever since she played Prerna in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actress – who was recently seen in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force and will essay the part of an intelligence officer in Ajay Devgn’s Singham, is all set to collaborate with Karan Johar soon. During a recent chat, the actress opened up about her upcoming Dharma Productions web series and the kind of character she plays in it.

While interacting with News18 Showsha, Shweta Tiwari got candid about her next being produced by Karan Johar. Spilling the beans, the ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ actress said, “I’m doing Dharma Productions’ upcoming web series. In that, I play a don-like character who wears a saree and smokes cigarettes (laughs). It was a very challenging role and that’s why I wanted to do it.”
In the recent past, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has worked with several actors hailing from the TV industry. This includes Lakshya in Kill and Kshitee Jog, Arjun Bijlani, Bharti Singh, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Shraddha Arya, Sriti Jha and Arjit Taneja in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Shweta on doing small roles
When asked to share more details about her role or the web series, the ‘Indian Police Force’ actress remained tight-lipped. However, she revealed that she’s ready for smaller roles in this new chapter of her career. She said, “I’ve always told myself – ‘do what you like.’ I’ve been a lead face in television but when I’m stepping out and foraying into something else, I want to explore different parts. I know that I’ve to accept smaller roles if I want to work with a certain director or an actor. I want to make my debut in different avenues every five years.”
