Samson Siasia has raised concerns about the Mighty Jets blunt attack, which is the fulcrum of his assignment when he takes up the coaching job at the Nigeria National League side, Punch Sports Extra reports.

The former Nigeria striker, who recently served out his five-year ban by FIFA, spoke after watching the team take on Kano Pillars at the ongoing Gusau/Ahlan pre-season tournament at Jos New Stadium on Thursday.

“Mighty Jets played better in the first half; they are young players, and they still have a lot to do, mostly in the goal-scoring aspect. Today. They had three clear chances, which they should have easily scored, but they could not convert any one. We know exactly what is wrong with them; they need to practice more shots at goal during training sessions; their shots were awkward,” said Siasia, who sat next to the club’s general manager, Ferdinand Mbum.

Meanwhile, Mbum remains determined to secure Siasia as the team’s coach, despite challenging financial issues.

To this end, he has arranged a meeting between Siasia and the state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, in order to convince him to take charge of the club.

In August 2019, Siasia he was handed a lifetime ban by FIFA related to match fixing. He appealed the verdict

in June 2021 at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which earned him a reduction of the suspension to five years and the cancellation of the additional fine of 50,000 Swiss francs ($54,000).
