SIC MD calls for stronger collaboration with brokers to boost Ghana’s insurance industry

The Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng says closer collaboration between insurance companies and brokerage firms would strengthen the capacity of Ghana’s insurance industry.

He made these remarks during a courtesy call with the Managing Director of KEK Insurance Brokers, Mr. Shaibu Ali, at the brokerage firm’s offices in Accra on Thursday, April 3.

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng commended Mr. Ali, who is also the President of the Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana (IBAG), for successfully organising a recent brokers' conference in Kwahu.

The Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC expressed his determination to network with brokers and insurance executives to foster relationships that would yield meaningful results for the industry.

“I recognise that businesses like insurance thrive on a reliable network of like-minded partners, and I am committed to engaging with industry players for the benefit of SIC,” he said, emphasising the importance of building good working relationships to support the industry’s growth.

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng pledged his commitment to collaborate with KEK Insurance Brokers and other brokers to prospect for new business and drive the growth of their respective companies. He also spoke of a new era at SIC Insurance PLC and encouraged all to join in the effort.

In response, Mr. Shaibu Ali, Managing Director of KEK Insurance Brokers, thanked Mr. Agyenim-Boateng for the visit and pledged to collaborate with SIC Insurance PLC on business prospecting, product development, and other initiatives.

In a related development, Mr. Agyenim-Boateng also visited the offices of ArrowClass Insurance Brokers Limited to encourage closer collaboration with the company.

The Managing Director of ArrowClass Insurance Brokers Limited, Mr. Mathias Dapilah, acknowledged the long-standing relationship between his company and SIC Insurance PLC and promised to continue their partnership.
