EXCLUSIVE: Addam Bramich, Ryan Hamilton and Volodymyr Artemenko’s production banner Simple House Films is launching an international sales arm at the EFM.
The new division is headed by Anastazja Bankowska, who recently served as Global Sales Executive at Kino Swiat, the leading Polish distributor and Canal+ Group subsidiary, and had held senior positions overseeing international sales at broadcasting, production, and distribution companies for the last two decades.
The first title on her slate is survival thriller The Ascent by director Adam Green (Frozen, Hatchet franchise).
The picture follows a group of friends who arrive in Europe for a glamorous but daring destination wedding.
The fun and games turn into a nightmare when they find themselves precariously suspended above shark infested waters and in a battle for survival.
“We are thrilled to have a platform to produce and deliver important stories to audiences and work with talented and creative individuals across the industry,” said Artemenko.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to launch an international sales unit into the marketplace and work alongside Anastazja Bankowska with the goal of delivering high quality theatrical films to the marketplace’s global audience.”
Simple House Films launched last year as an international independent production company, dedicated to developing and producing diverse films, and being a platform for diverse stories and voices.
Bramich, Hamilton and Artemenko run the company as Co-Founders and Co-CEOs.
Its current line-up features Zipline, a survival thriller currently in post-production being sold worldwide by Black Bear.
It stars Ioan Gruffudd (Bad Boys: Ride or Die), Ross Butler (Shazam! franchise) Holland Roden (Teen Wolf)and Sonia Ammar (The Equalizer 3).
It is also completing post-production on Shiver, a screen adaptation of the first book in the best-selling young adult fantasy series written by Maggie Stiefvater
It stars Maddie Ziegler (My Old Ass), Levi Miller (Kraven the Hunter), Sofia Wylie (The Map That Leads to You), Iman Vellani (The Marvels), Lyon Daniels (The Spiderwick Chronicles), Alexander Ludwig (Earth Abides), Ross Butler, Alicia Witt (Longlegs), Oscar nominee Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets), and Christin Park (Never Let Go).
Prior to Simple House Films, its co-founders gained extensive production experience. Hamilton has produced Hotel Mumbai, Possessor, The Portable Door and Oh, Canada.
Bramich’s credits include Poker Face, The Beast Within and Ice Fall, while Artemenko has worked as a producer on A Working Man, Deep Water, Dreams, and Ice Fall.
Hamilton was also the Head of Production and Acquisitions and Arclight Films.
