Sir Jim Ratcliffe held his first meeting today with Manchester United Supporters’ Trust.
MUST are pleased to report that members of their board held their first bilateral meeting with Sir Jim Ratcliffe to discuss his plans for the future of our football club.
Ratcliffe was joined at the hour long meeting by Sir Dave Brailsford, Jean-Claude Blanc and senior club officials.
A number of topics were on the agenda for discussion including bits about where the club is at and what needs to happen to restore United back to the top of English football.

I should be seen as a positive that Ratcliffe is willing to open dialogue with fan groups like MUST, who an incredible job representing match-going fans, even though INEOS are still waiting on ratification from the Premier League. It is impressive that they are willing to get these meetings done now rather than waiting for the deal’s final green light.
MUST felt Ratcliffe was as open as he could be and report his main message was that everything at United needs to be ruthlessly focused on creating winning teams on the field. That is something all fans can get behind.
It’s also great to hear how Ratcliffe views United as a ‘community asset’ and stressed that he has not bought 25% of the club to make money.
As fans of United we hope this is a sign of things to come. There now needs to be an ongoing dialogue between Ratcliffe, INEOS and MUST.
