Erik ten Hag faces an uncertain future at Manchester United.
It is often the case with takeovers or new investment that the new regime will come with fresh faces. United fans can expect new recruits such as a sporting director, but there is another elephant in the room that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos Sports group need to address.
Ten Hag needs clarity on his future and a new report from the Manchester Evening News claims Ineos have analysed potential replacements for the United manager – should they decide to make a change in the coming months.

A source told the Manchester based outlet that Ratcliffe is “not completely sold” on Ten Hag, who is under pressure to keep his job as United sit eight points adrift of Aston Villa in fourth place.
Meanwhile, Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi is understood to be of interest to United and the Italian has also been tipped to replace Pep Guardiola at Man City.
United are having a dismal season and a lot of that should be put down to injuries. However, it doesn’t bode well for Ten Hag that the Reds have lost 15 matches this season and were eliminated from the Champions League in the group stages.
As a result, United are sixth in the Premier League but we’ve got the FA Cup fifth round to look forward to. Maybe Ten Hag needs a Mark Robins moment in the cup?
Let us know in the comments section if you think Ineos should stand by Ten Hag.
