Manchester United fans are expecting lots of change at the football club now Sir Jim Ratcliffe has become co-owner.
According to ESPN, United are prepared for a squad overhaul this summer to help speed up progress on the pitch.
The report also claims United want to sign a striker and a defender in the summer, which may be a hint that they will be the priority positions for the club going into the transfer market.
United also plan to improve the overall quality of the squad in a bid to give the manager greater depth.
There are concerns about the club’s financial position and whether that will limit the funds available to the manager.
In turn, it is understood that Ratcliffe and Ineos director Sir Dave Brailsford have focused on a need to clear-out the squad as a way to boost the budget for recruiting new players.
A number of United players face uncertain futures and we can now expect some of them to get the chop when the current season ends. Some of those players include Christian Eriksen, Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek, Facundo Pellistri, Brandon Williams and Victor Lindelof.
Let us know in the comments section who you think should be moved on in the summer. It goes without saying that Anthony Martial won’t be handed a new deal at the club.
