Christopher Vivell has reached a full agreement with Manchester United to become their new Director of Recruitment ‘with immediate effect’, as per Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg and David Ornstein

The 37-year-old is now looking to obtain his work permit ahead of a move to Old Trafford, where he’s been sought to aid INEOS in the summer transfer window.

Vivell to join United imminently

Vivell, formerly of RB Leipzig and most recently Chelsea, will join Ratcliffe’s sporting structure on a short-term contract. He turned down interest from other clubs to join United.

His arrival will follow Dan Ashworth’s, which was announced by both the Red Devils and Newcastle United this afternoon after several months of the sporting director tediously waiting for the clubs to find an agreement.
