Tom Welling had a run-in with the law this weekend. The 47-year-old actor, best known for playing Clark Kent on the WB series Smallville in the early 2000s, was arrested for DUI in California. TMZ is reporting that Tom was arrested in an Arby’s parking lot in the city of Yreka, which is located close to the northern border of California, not too far from Oregon. Keep reading to find out more… The outlet reports that the arrest happened just after midnight on Monday morning (January 28) and “local police department picked him up for allegedly driving under the influence — and his blood alcohol level was reportedly at or above 0.08%.” Just one day before the arrest, Tom took to his Instagram account to wish his wife Jessica a happy birthday. “Happy Birthday to our Angel who makes our dreams come true and inspires us even more! We love you to the moon and back! @jessicarosewelling,” he wrote with a series of photos. Tom isn’t seen in public that often, but he sometimes makes appearances at Comic Con events around the world. He most recently appeared at one in New Orleans just two weeks ago.
