Snoop Dogg Addresses Backlash Over Trump Inauguration Performance -- But Fans Aren't Happy!

Snoop Dogg has faced a TON backlash for performing at Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration… So what does he have to say for himself??

The Gin and Juice rapper burned a LOT of fans last week after making the mystifying decision to help celebrate the convicted felon being sworn into office for a second time. If you didn’t know, he performed at the Crypto Ball in honor of Trump’s inauguration. Naturally that pissed off a ton of people!

What’s most confusing is that it seems like selling out — since eight years ago, he was one of the MOST anti-Trump artists out there! Hell, he even parodied the assassination of the hated POTUS. So obviously his fans were with him… up until last week. See some of the most upset reactions (below):

The thing about Snoop Dogg and Carrie Underwood playing the inauguration is we really gotta bring back calling people sellouts

So, like, WTF changed?! Did he sell out? Did he take on a new political ideology?! Does he want in on those tax cuts for the ultra wealthy? Well, he’s ready to address “all the hate.”

In an Instagram post on Sunday, the Drop It Like It’s Hot rapper recorded himself as he drove, smoked, and jammed to music. After singing along to some songs, he told the camera:

“For all the hate, I’m going to answer with love. Y’all can’t hate enough I love too much”

He continued:

“Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I’m cool. I’m together — still a Black man, still 100 percent Black. All out ’til you ball out or ’til you fall out. I ain’t going nowhere. I’m right here.”

Later in the video he added:

“You can be up one minute, and they’ll try to pull you down the next. But I’m a strong Black man. I’m cut from a different cloth. Can’t tear me down.”

Watch (below)!

He didn’t explicitly name Trump or cite the backlash he received for performing at his inauguration, but what other hate would he be talking about?? He’s usually such a lovable guy, which makes his support of such a dangerous figure so shocking! And while he may be responding with “love,” fans aren’t letting him off the hook that easy!

In the comments, they wrote things like:

“Lost all respect”

“Sell out”

“You literally contradicted yourself unc smh”

“My momma told me to never trust someone that would do anything for money”

“He really steady posting acting like these comments don’t faze him lol”

“Call your next album: Bootlickin’”

“Snoop you disappointed us. We been riding with you since we were kids. This one hurts for real.”

“You got GOD, but you celebrated with devil”

“Everything but explain or apologize. Your private life is one thing but this was public entertainment for something dangerous to the community”

Yeah… He definitely didn’t give an answer that’s going to satisfy anyone. The folks who value money above everything else are already on Team MAGA, right?
