Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on Manchester United’s potential search for Erik ten Hag replacements should they decide to part ways with the Dutch coach.

It is an important week for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag who is under huge pressure to find results against FC Porto and Aston Villa.

After a poor start to the season, the former Ajax manager looked like an isolated figure on the Old Trafford sideline last time out watching his side lose 3-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils will be hoping they can secure their first win in their Europa League campaign against Porto this evening.

Despite reports of INEOS backing Ten Hag to turn results around, speculation around possible replacements for the 56-year-old coach has begun circulating.

Fabrizio Romano offers Managerial guarantee on Ten Hag replacements

Fabrizio Romano has stated that no talks have begun with any possible managerial replacements with INEOS keen to support Ten Hag to turn results around.

However, it is understood that it is a big week for the Red Devils boss in away trips against Porto and Aston Villa.

Speaking to Caught Offside, Romano said: “I’ve seen the stories but guys, no, I can’t confirm there is any list for managers to replace Erik ten Hag at the moment,

“I can guarantee that Man United are not talking to any manager now, because they want to see the team’s performance against Porto and Aston Villa before making any decision.

“So, all links with all managers… nothing confirmed so far.

“Also, there is nothing at all in the Inzaghi rumours as he’s fully focused on the project at Inter. I’ve honestly no idea where this is coming from.”
