The All Progressive Congress party in Sokoto State has commended President Bola Tinubu for giving the state an additional ministerial slot.

The President in his recent cabinet reshuffle recently nominated the former Minister for Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, as the Minister of State for Labour while also redeploying Muhammad Goronyo from the Ministry of State for Water Resources to State for Works.

Speaking while addressing newsmen in his office on Friday, the APC chairman, Isa Sadiq Achida, said the act had further demonstrated the President’s love and consideration for those who toiled towards the success of the party at the polls.

He said, “It is also an indication of his confidence in the leadership qualities of our respected leader, Senator Aliyu Wamakko as well as our resourceful, courageous and hardworking Governor, who is positively transforming and repositioning Sokoto State.

“The people of Sokoto State, particularly members of our great party, the APC, are confident that the programmes and policies of the Federal Government under the able leadership of Mr President will take Nigeria to greater heights.

“The construction of the over 1,000 kilometers Sokoto – Badagry superhighway, for which the ground breaking was held on Thursday is aimed at further connecting our nation, enhancing our infrastructure and creating more opportunities for our people.”

The chairman further disclosed that the FG is also undertaking several development projects in the state, “including the reconstruction of Sokoto – Gusau – Zaria road and numerous Federal Housing projects among others.”

He said the appointment of two ministers from the state has not only “speak volumes about the high esteem to which the President holds the state, but also put shame to the party’s detractors.”

The party, however, passed a vote of confidence on Tinubu.
