Solskjaer regrets Cristiano Ronaldo

Solskjaer also said his former assistant McKenna was the first to warn of the danger posed by the recruitment of Ronaldo. During a podcast with Norwegian media outlet NRK, he said:

“How are we going to defend ourselves? That’s the first thing he said to me. It was probably a bad choice for all of us. But we felt it was the right decision at that time.”

Solskjaer said McKenna analyzed Ronaldo’s final matches with Juventus the previous season and found that he was detrimental to the overall balance.
