IMG Credit: WWENot one? Winning a World Title is one of the most important things that can happen to a wrestler. It makes a wrestler feel that much more prominent as the promotion is becoming more built around them. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Another WWE Departure Confirmed; This One Is Shocking
Last weekend at WrestleMania 40, Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship, only to lose it less than six minutes later to Damian Priest via Money In The Bank cash-in. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this marked McIntyre’s fourth World Title reign with his total time as champion adding up to almost 400 days. However, no fan has ever paid for a ticket to one of his defenses. During his time as Impact World Champion, the company did not charge for tickets to its shows at Universal Studios. During his time as WWE World Champion, there were no fans in attendance due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Finally, his title defense against Priest was not advertised in advance.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is little more than a bit of trivia but it made me wonder how in the world it could possibly be true. McIntyre does deserve a big moment with fans buying tickets to see him, but you would think that would have happened at some point over his four World Title reigns.
