Sophie Turner is on the cusp of landing a highly coveted role in Hollywood! On Thursday (November 14), it was reported that the 28-year-old Game of Thrones actress is in talks to bring Lara Croft to life in Phoebe Waller-Bridge‘s new Tomb Raider adaptation for Prime Video. The news comes after it was announced that Sophie and another actress were front-runners for the part in late October. The news comes after it was revealed that she and Lucy Boynton were coming in to screen test for the new TV series, which is based on the popular video game. The casting has not been officially confirmed, but we’ll update you if we learn more. The new Tomb Raider series was first announced in January 2023. Of course, Lara Croft is an iconic role that has been played onscreen by the likes of Angelina Jolie before. Two fan-favorite choices for the role reportedly did not make it to screen testing.
