Lamine Yamal’s father attacked
Terrible news broke yesterday during the European Super Cup between Real Madrid and Atalanta. World Sports takes up information revealed by the Vanguardia that sends shivers down your spine. Lamine Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, was stabbed several times last night in a car park in Mataró, a town a few kilometres north of Barcelona. In its inside pages, Brand explains that this scene of horror would have occurred following a fight. The father of the young Lamine Yamal was quickly taken to the hospital of Can Ruti in a state considered worrying as the newspaper specifies AS. The first news is however reassuring. The father of the Barça star is in a stable condition, but remains under observation. Mounir Nasraoui was apparently shot in the back according to the first reports, while he was walking his dog. The police have already opened an investigation. For the moment, it is still too early to determine the exact circumstances of the attack, we will keep you informed. Obviously, all our thoughts are with the victim and the family.
Barça launches its slimming operation
This time, FC Barcelona seems to have understood that before accelerating on new arrivals, the club will have to go through a massive downsizing! And it’s accelerating according to the newspaper Sport. The sports management is working to reduce the squad and facilitate registrations. As we explained to you in the news, six players including the star summer recruit Dani Olmo will not be able to take part in the first match of the season. Vitor Roque is also one of them, but the Brazilian is being pushed towards the exit just like Ansu Fati, Mika Faye and Lenglet. Barça hopes to collect a check for €50 million for all these undesirables. This would allow the Culés to increase the budget to recruit this much-desired winger.
Imminent outcome for Osimhen?
Heading to England with a soap opera that is getting closer to its conclusion, at least we hope so on Chelsea’s side. As the poster says Daily MirrorChelsea intend to use Lukaku to get Osimhen. As you know, the major obstacle in the Nigerian striker’s case remains his €120 million release clause. At Chelsea, it is believed that it is entirely possible to find common ground since Napoli have made Big Rom Osimhen’s replacement. An exchange that could therefore suit both parties, as relayed by Daily Star. Chelsea value Lukaku at just under €50m. As explained by Daily Expressanother option for Osimhen would be a one-season loan with an obligation to buy. But the player, who favours PSG, wants a dry transfer. Note that any deal for the Nigerian would likely end Chelsea’s interest in Joao Felix.
