Alarm bells started ringing at Barcelona when Lamine Yamal limped out of action during Spain’s UEFA Nations League encounter against Denmark.
Although the forward almost the entirety of the ninety minutes, he was taken out at the last minute, with the forward visibly suffering.
This led many to believe Yamal has picked up a fresh injury, with Barcelona even requesting Spain to send him back to Barcelona.
Yamal to return to Barcelona
It appears Barcelona’s prayers have been finally answered, as Yamal is all set to return to Catalonia after limping out of the game against Denmark.
This has been reported by Mundo Deportivo, which suggests Barcelona will now conduct tests on the Spanish international and ascertain his fitness.

The club, nevertheless, will not take any risks and will carefully assess Yamal’s situation, before ideating on whether or not to play him in the upcoming game against Sevilla.
Barcelona are slated to take on Sevilla on October 20, but should Yamal fail to clear any fitness test, Hansi Flick is unlikely to take any risks and rest him for the upcoming matches against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively.
For now, Barça will be relieved that their star man is finally returning to Barcelona and will be in safer hands.
Given his contributions this season, the club simply cannot afford to lose him at this crucial juncture of the campaign, especially if they are to compete for titles this season.
