After yet another tumultuous weekend involving Manchester United, all attention can now hopefully switch solely to the FA Cup semi-final.

The Red Devils were back at Carrington today (Tuesday) as they continue their preparations to face Coventry City this Sunday at Wembley.

At the time of the fixture, United will already know their potential opponents should they advance to the final, given that Chelsea and Manchester City go head-to-head on Saturday evening.

A drama-free week needed at Old Trafford

Much was made of Antony’s absence from the matchday squad to face Bournemouth, with the reason provided to supporters being that he had sustained a last-minute injury and was unable to travel with the squad – a plausible explanation.

However, speculation on X (Twitter) claimed that the Brazilian had walked out of a training session a day earlier after he was made aware that he wouldn’t be starting the match. He has since been spotted in high spirits during the session today, so those rumours can now be put to bed.

As well as that, we’re all well aware of Alejandro Garnacho’s social media antics following his half-time substitution at the Vitality Stadium. Manchester Evening News confirmed yesterday that the youngster had been ‘dealt with’ by Ten Hag and the club, and he too was involved with his teammates at Carrington, meaning the incident is now resolved and we can all wash our hands of it.
