36 Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is enjoying his breakthrough campaign at Old Trafford, and the stats show just how vital he has become for the club’s cause.
The young Ivorian rose through the ranks of Atalanta. And despite making limited appearances with the first team, The Red Devils were already convinced of his talent, that they splashed circa £25 million to buy him from La Dea in January 2021.
However, Diallo struggled to make an impact with the Premier League giants over the past few years. He also underwent loan spells with Rangers and Sunderland so he could gain valuable playing time.
Nevertheless, the winger’s situation at Carrington has vastly improved this season. He was already beginning to earn starting berths with Erik ten Hag in charge, and his impact has now soared with Ruben Amorim at the helm.

The Ivory Coast international landed first amongst his teammates in several statistics, beginning with carries into the box (27), goal-creating actions (8), tackles in the final third (7), and take-ons leading to shots (3).
More importantly, he is the club’s leader in assists charts, creating five goals for his teammates.
On the other hand, Amad is currently second in two significant categories: Chances created (19) and passes into the box (17).
These stats suggest that the former Atalanta youngster might just be the club’s most creative player, at least at this stage of the campaign.
The Red Devils are looking to reward the player for his noticeable improvement with a new contract, as his current deal will expire at the end of the season.
