Sterling K. Brown and Rita Ora are the latest stars to join the new Voltron movie! On Monday (November 25), it was announced that the 48-year-old Emmy-winning actor and the 33-year-old singer/actress will be joining Henry Cavill in the upcoming live-action adaption of the popular anime series for Amazon MGM Studios. Keep reading to find out more…Variety confirmed Sterling and Rita‘s castings, while also revealing that 9-1-1 actor John Kim had joined the cast. It was also previously announced that Daniel Quinn-Toye, who served as Tom Holland‘s understudy in the West End’s Romeo & Juliet, will be leading the movie. The live-action Voltron movie has been in development since at least 2022, when Amazon MGM Studios picked up the script from Rawson and collaborator Ellen Shanman. Little is known about the plot yet. However, Voltron is based on the popular anime series that premiered in the ’80s. The animated franchise expanded to encompass everything from comic books to video games. According to the outlet, the Voltron TV franchise followed “a team of space explorers who pilot a giant super robot.” Earlier this year, it was announced that Sterling will be starring in Adam Scott‘s directorial debut!
