Steve Howey is reuniting with his Reba co-stars! Ahead of the October 18 premiere of NBC’s new sitcom Happy’s Place starring Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman, it has been revealed that Steve, 47, will be making a special guest appearance on an upcoming episode of the the show. Keep reading to find out more…According to a synopsis provided by NBC to TVLine, Steve will be playing Danny, “a wealthy business owner that Gabby (Peterman) has met at a dog park. In order to impress him, Gabby has pretended to be Bobbie (McEntire) because she thinks that will make her more interesting … that is, until he wants to hold his holiday party at the tavern.” As of right now, Steve will only be appearing on one episode of Happy’s Place, but series creator Kevin Abbott hopes to bring Steve back in the future. “One of the arcs for [Melissa’s] character Gabby is that she thinks she wants to have a baby… and the Steve Howey character becomes a potential sperm donor,” Kevin told TVLine. “We’re hoping that Steve’s character can come back.” Steve, Reba, and Melissa all starred together on Reba, which ran for six seasons from 2001 to 2007 on The WB. Kevin, who was also an executive producer on Reba, hopes to bring more Reba alums onto Happy’s Place. “It’s a lot of fun,” Kevin said. “We absolutely want to bring some of the old cast members on — and in very different roles than what they played on Reba. Steve’s our first one up, and we’re trying to figure out how to bring JoAnna [Garcia-Swisher] in. We only want to have the old cast in if we can really utilize them in a fun, impactful way.” Happy’s Place premieres on Friday, October 18 at 8/7c on NBC.
