After being hospitalized for almost a week, good news regarding the health of WCW legend Steve McMichael has now surfaced on the internet. The 66-year-old was taken to the hospital for suspected pneumonia on February 15.

Later, it was revealed that McMichael had a blood transfusion and an infection that made the body resistant to antibiotics, MRSA. However, a couple of days ago, McMichael’s family revealed that his body had started taking the effects of the antibiotics and that they expected to take him home on Tuesday

While the WCW legend is still in the hospital, a new update reveals that McMichael is in good health now and will be allowed to head back to his home on Thursday. However, returning home doesn’t mean McMichael would make appearances at work and in public.

“Update on Steve McMichael: Mongo is set to return home tomorrow! We appreciate all the prayers and kindly ask for continued thoughts and prayers for Steve and his family.”

Since he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) back in 2021, he had stopped making any public appearances, which continues to be the same.

However, he has been inducted into the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame with their ceremony scheduled to take place in August. It is still unknown if McMichael would make an appearance or his health would force him to join the ceremony from home.
