Credit to WWEHe’s in. There have been all kinds of roster changes taking place in WWE over the last few months. This includes some wrestlers deciding whether they should leave the company or stick around, which can be quite the move for both sides. A bigger WWE name choosing to stay can be quite the major moment and that is what another former World Champion has decided to do.

During a recent appearance on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Sheamus revealed that he had recently signed a new five year deal with WWE. Sheamus went on to say that he wanted to continue “until the wheels fall off” and he cannot physically wrestle at this level anymore. This comes after Sheamus reportedly signed a new deal with the company back in September, though it was not clear how long it would last. Sheamus, who returned to WWE after a brief hiatus last month, will turn 47 years old later this month.

Opinion: This is a case of “why not” as Sheamus is still more than capable of hanging with just about anyone in the ring. WWE is interested in keeping him around and it should be interesting to see what he has to do going forward, as there is value in a former multiple time World Champion who can go out there and work well with pretty much the entire roster on any given night.
