Still In? Major Backstage Update On Chad Gable’s WWE Status

Still in? The contract status of several WWE Superstars has been one of the biggest discussions in recent weeks, with several prominent names either having their contracts come up or expire altogether. It can be a big deal when another comes up, especially if WWE can come to terms on a new deal. That appears to be the case again with an important WWE Superstar.

According to PWInsider Elite by way of Cagesideseats.com, Chad Gable either already has re-signed with WWE or is expected to do so very soon. Those working in the company are under the impression that Gable will be staying with WWE. Gable’s contract is believed to have expired earlier this month, though he is scheduled to challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title this weekend at Clash At The Castle.

Opinion: I don’t think there is much of a surprise to the fact that Gable seems to be sticking around. At the end of the day, he is in a prominent role and is getting the biggest singles push of his life. Unless another promotion is offering astronomical money, I’m not sure I can see a reason for him to leave. It would not shock me to see him win the title soon, which would be a big incentive for him to stick around.
